‘Sharpening Your Leadership Saw’ Exercises

Together, at our last webinar we took one step towards being patient and compassionate with ourselves – staying curious about transforming the “container” of our minds! So…how about YOU take a break… To sharpen your saw?

“Anything that is not consciously attended to and renewed will break down.”
Dr Stephen Covey

Here’s a powerful practice you can do with your team (or your family) to sharpen your saw:

1. Write down some activities you can do with your team: is there something you would really like to do but haven’t, or haven’t done in a long time? Chose one or two activities and make a plan to sharpen the saw together. Pick a date to discuss and complete the activity by with your team – and put in the calendar, so that everyone can see it.

2. Have each member of your team answer the following questions: What would a “personal day” look like to your 10-year-old self? If you had a day to lead your team, what would it look like?
