William Anderson

Curious Impact Entrepreneur

On graduation William worked in Sales & Marketing at Kodak, soon moving into consultancy to work closely with brands such as adidas, Bodyform, GlaxoSmithKline and Unilever. It wasn’t long before William created a new, niche marketing channel: To and through schools. And his own company.

William’s purpose is to help people realize the person, the leader, they can be. “By throwing off the beliefs of the past you have permission to grow into whatever you want to be.” In 2014, William decided to test this belief on himself, announcing to friends “I will play hockey for England before I die.” His friends laughed. Rightly so. He wasn’t event the best player in his own team, let alone Club or Country. But he had a plan and he put in a lot of hard work. Four years later William was invited to travel to Antibe in France to play Italy and France! “You can grow into whatever you want, with a plan, a lot of focused work and the right support. I want to help others achieve their dream.”

William is inspired by new knowledge in Psychology and Neuroscience, fringe theater and live music, climbing mountains and immersing himself in diverse cultures around the World. He will also enjoy a hand-drawn English ale with you, if you wish.

Curious fact #1

William was evacuated from Aden in Yemen close to his 6th birthday. Under the cover of darkness, the British army took out women and children. Formative years leave an indelible mark. Forty years later William returned to the region to work in Saudi. He immediately connected with people like brothers.

Curious fact #2

William started his first company age 15; The Student Workforce. William would win the work and share it out to school friends; decorating, gardening, car washing, dog walking, anything. His Mum would deduct a small fee for fielding phone calls. Perhaps this is where his commercial sense came from.
