Chonin’s fascination with human behavior began at a young age. Growing up in the Netherlands and Belgium, within a Chinese family rooted in strong cultural traditions, she was naturally drawn to exploring questions of cultural identity and the universal need for belonging. This unique upbringing gave her a broad perspective on both Eastern and Western cultures, along with an early understanding of human dynamics.
Driven by this curiosity, Chonin pursued studies in Psychology and Anthropology, followed by a degree in International Business. Over the past 20 years, she has crafted a non-conformist path, which allowed her to create a meaningful life and career across multiple industries in consultancy, project management, and leadership roles, with a particular focus on personal and leadership development.
As a professional coach, Chonin has a gift for hearing what goes unsaid and creating a safe space for transformation. She enjoys integrating ancient wisdom and modern science to help leaders take ownership of their growth and expand their awareness, encouraging both personal and professional development. Being a proud member of the GAIA Insights team, she deeply resonates with its mission and values and is honored to contribute to the development of tomorrow’s leaders.
Now residing in Belgium with her husband and three children, Chonin cherishes being close to her family after living in Paris, Beijing, and New York, and traveling extensively across five continents.
